First Annual Cruise-In, Car Show Highlights

Good times were had by all at DynoTech Engineering's First Annual Cruise-In, Car Show. The rain gave us a break around 6 a.m. and mother nature left us with bright sunny skies with cool temperatures for the rest of the day.

DynoTech Engineering and the Rolling 50's Car Club joined together to put this event on and considering this was our first year for this and the early threat of rain, we had a very good turnout! Vehicles of all years, makes and models were in attendance, including a 2001 Lamborghini Diablo that was absolutely gorgeous. There was oldies music playing all day and plenty of concessions to keep everyone satisfied. Finally, a performance parts table was on display for people looking for that one part they needed to finish a home car project. |

We offered a dyno pull special of $40 for two pulls for those people who registered a car in the car show and many of them took advantage of it, which was excellent! They had the opportunity to see their vehicle on a professional chassis dyno for the first time and many commented on how interesting it was to watch, not to mention the valuable information that they learned from the included dyno graphs. Adding a dyno service to this car show provided entertainment for all to see over and above just sitting there looking at motionless cars all day. Everyone had a good time! There were lots of door prizes given away throughout the day and a 50/50 cash pot was also drawn upon. Congratulations to Bruce Curry, as he was the winner of $50 in the 50/50 drawing and the other half ($50) was donated to charity in lieu of the Franciscan Center of Fort Wayne, in the name of DynoTech Engineering & The Rolling 50's Car Club. This money will go to purchase Thanksgiving and Christmas Day Baskets for the needy in Fort Wayne, IN. A big thank you to everyone who gave so generously! We would like to thank everyone who participated and attended this years event and we look forward to next year's event being even bigger! Special thanks to Wayne, Brian, Brian's wife??? (her name eludes me) and Scott for aiding us in putting this together on such short notice. It was a real success! |
